Low Wood Road

Low Wood Road

Nottingham City Council is proposing to implement a range of traffic measures to improve road safety, as well as pedestrian and cycle links, on Low Wood Road between the city and county boundary and Seller's Wood Drive.

The measures we are proposing are:

  • Introduce a new toucan crossing (for use by pedestrians and cyclists) to replace the central refuge near Softwood Close
  • Widen the footways linking the new crossing to the residential estates to the east and west, including cutting back vegetation
  • Provide a new footway link on the west of Low Wood Road to plug the gap between existing sections of footway
  • Introduce two 'Your speed' vehicle-activated signs, one either side of the new crossing
  • Relocate the beginning of the 30mph speed limit further south to the city/county boundary, including improved lining and signing.
  • Your feedback is important and will help shape the final scheme. Please let us know how you feel about this proposal and any further comments or feedback you may have.
