Sherwood and Berridge area schemes

Sherwood and Berridge area schemes

Following past discussions with residents, we know there is a desire to introduce restrictions in several areas of Sherwood and Berridge, all with the aim of reducing cut-through traffic, making the streets safer, quieter, and a more pleasant environment for people living in the area.

We're proposing the following measures:

Arndale Road

A two-way closure on Arndale Road, except for cycles. These would be achieved through the use of planters, with gaps allowing pedestrians and cyclists to pass through.

Woodville Road

A two-way closure on Woodville Road, except for cycles. This would be achieved through the use of planters, with gaps allowing pedestrians and cyclists to pass through.

Roads between Valley Road, Edwards Lane and Mansfield Road

We're aware that some residents have concerns about traffic cutting through narrow, residential roads. The plan shows potential junctions that could be made access only, or exit only, to help reduce this cut-through traffic. We're asking people to let us know whether they would like any restrictions in their area.

Junction of Nottingham Road with Haydn Road and North Gate

We're aware this junction is well used by pedestrians and cyclists, and want to improve crossing facilities. Please let us know where you would like to see improvements.
